Will Everton Continue Their Run Of Form Versus Fulham?

Everton host Fulham at home in a tough matchup on Friday evening where both teams will be confident they can get something from this fixture.

The Toffees’ recent run of form has been impressive, especially when you look at the first few games of the season; in comparison, there seems to have been a change in determination in the squad.

Everton Premier League Results:

Ipswich 0-2 Everton

Everton 0-0 Newcastle

Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Leicester 1-1 Everton

Aston Villa 3-2 Everton

Everton 2-3 Bournemouth

Spurs 4-0 Everton

Everton 0-3 Brighton

You can say the same thing about Fulham. Under the leadership of ex-Everton manager Marco Silva, the Portuguese coach has turned his post-football career around. Being sacked from his role with the Toffees by Farhad Moshiri due to 8 defeats from 14 and a disappointing 5-2 defeat in the Merseyside Derby left the Blues in the relegation zone.

However, at Fulham, Marco Silva has won 69 games out of 150, with clear signs of development in the Fulham camp.

Fulham currently sit 10th in the Premier League table with 11 points from 8 games.

In Silva’s press conference in the lead-up to the game, he sent out a heartwarming message regarding his return to face Everton and the legacy of Goodison Park:

“It was an honour for me to be Everton manager. It's going to be my last game at Goodison. It's a special place."

Fulham Premier League Results:

Fulham 1-3 Aston Villa

Man City 3-2 Fulham

Nottingham Forest 0-1 Fulham

Fulham 3-1 Newcastle

Fulham 1-1 West Ham

Ipswich 1-1 Fulham

Fulham 2-1 Leicester

Man United 1-0 Fulham

Promising signs from the Toffees’ as key player Jarrad Branthwaite is to be available from selection for this game. It was also confirmed that Armando Broja is getting ever closer and closer to partaking in first team training, a new addition for the Toffees who is yet to play.
