Everton face Fulham at home in the quarterfinals of the Caraboa Cup, with both sides knowing that after this game, they have only one more match until they reach the final at Wembley Stadium.
Everton's recent form cannot go unnoticed: 4 games, 4 wins, 4 clean sheets, 8 goals—all with less than 50% possession. Sean Dyche's army is on the rise, and it seems no one is stopping them, but can Fulham?
With two recent demolitions, both 5-0 to both Nottingham Forest and West Ham, they are in decent form. In their most recent game, they were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle, with their main striker Raul Jimenez being sent off for a "karate-kick" style foul, which was most certainly the correct decision by the referee and VAR officials. In that case, it's an advantage for Everton going into this game.
Fulham manager Marco Silva is visiting his old club, Everton. Everton sacked Silva after 18 months, with the club in the relegation zone after a Merseyside derby humiliation. Yet Silva showed respect to Everton in his press conference in the lead-up to the game, stating:
"It's a tough game. They have shown resilience, and you can see they click together with the fans, team, and staff. They have good players and an experienced manager."
Big game for both, but who will come out on top?
