Welcome to Spirit of The News!

Hello everyone! My name is Calum Jones and I am 14 year-old boy with a burning passion for sports journalism, and Everton Football Club.

As this is my first blog, and not really Everton-related, I will try not to bore you as you read your way through. Also, I want to save most information about me for the "About Me" page, which you can find from the top header of the website, or on the main home page!

I was once lucky enough to be one of the Everton mascots, walking out at Goodison Park with Z-Cars blasting was a dream come true for me.

Here is a picture of me some years ago, Feb 2019, walking out with Michael Keane (right) in a 3-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

My first game was Everton v Manchester City on the 10 January 2015 which finished 1-1. Stephen Naismith headed past Joe Hart to equalise.
