Everton were held to a goalless draw away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the FA Cup.
There will be a replay at Goodison Park following the 0-0 draw between Crystal Palace and Everton to see who will progress into the next round of the competition.
The game had some chances, but not enough to spark an exciting occasion. For Everton, it seemed they were unlucky. Dominic Calvert-Lewin received a red card for a high foot on Palace player Nathaniel Clyne. After reviewing the incident, the referee gave the Everton striker a red card.
However, Everton fans, players, and even two Crystal Palace players have been found speaking to others on the pitch, exclaiming that they didn't think it was a red card!
To make matters worse, Everton top winger Dwight McNeil picked up an injury, forcing him to be stretchered off the pitch in the second half, being replaced by Arnaut Danjuma. From first glance, it may look like an ACL injury, but in Sean Dyche's post-match interview with ITV, he said:
"It's early, but Dwight's (McNeil) in the dressing room and calm, which is a good sign. Hopefully, it's a swollen ankle, but it is to early to tell."
They were the most important features during the game.
