Ruben Amorim’s side cruised past Everton as Manchester United won 4-0.
There were six changes for Manchester United from their 3-2 win against Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League midweek, whereas Sean Dyche made one change, swapping striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Beto to hopefully remove the goal drought the Blues have been suffering with for the duration of this season.

Within the first half hour, Everton were on top. A high pressing style was implemented, and it was clearly working. However, the Toffees weren’t able to get the goal to go ahead, which seems to be a reoccurring theme this season.
Against the run of play, Manchester United were able to go ahead. A corner was crossed into the edge of the box by Bruno Fernandes into the path of Marcus Rashford, which was hit into the crowded area within the box. A moment of desperation to clear, Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite stuck a foot out, which deflected the ball past Jordan Pickford, giving United the lead.
Only 7 minutes later, and the Red Devils doubled their lead. While Branthwaite was in possession with the ball, Amad Diallo pressed and was able to snatch it off the Englishman. Leaving it for Bruno Fernandes, who played the ball across goal into the path of new signing Joshua Zirkzee, who had the simple job of slotting it past Pickford, increasing the deficit, making it 2-0 to Manchester United at the break.
Joshua Zirkzee Premier League Stats:
Appearances: 18
Goals: 3
Assists: 1
Yellow Cards: 1
As the second half began, it seemed Everton were lacking. It only took 20 seconds for the Red Devils to score again. From the Toffees’ kickoff, a boot up the pitch by Jordan Pickford was simply brought down by United. A quick counterattack and a through ball into Marcus Rashford left the winger one vs. one with the goalkeeper. A right-footed shot into the back of the net meant Manchester United were flying away with this now.
Marcus Rashford Premier League Stats:
Appearances: 285
Goals: 87
Assists: 40
Yellow Cards: 24
Red Cards: 1
Another mistake from the Everton defence cost a goal as James Tarkowski was caught slipping, a similar situation to United’s second goal in the first half. Joshua Zirkzee slotted it home, marking his second goal of the game, ending the game 4-0.
Ruben Amorim’s first home Premier League game in charge was a masterclass, causing an absolute mockery to Sean Dyche and Everton.
