It is Everton's first home match back at Goodison Park since the news that they received 4 points back following an appeal from the point deduction that occurred at the start of the calendar year. Sean Dyche's press conference in the build-up to this game has revealed that he and the club are pleased with the decision and that it brings clarity to the situation.
The Blues, who are now 15th in the table, host West Ham, who are 8th. Everton were disappointed last week against Brighton at the Amex Stadium due to a late equaliser by defender Louis Dunk, which restricted the Toffees from leaving with all three points. West Ham, on the other hand, were part of a 6-goal thriller when they faced Brentford away. A Jarrad Bowen hattrick claimed all the points in a 4-2 win at home.
Sean Dyche revealed that a decision will be made on match day because of injuries both Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gana Gueye have suffered. With both strong midfielders possibly being out for this fixture, will we see a change in the lineup?
David Moyes, ex-Everton manager and now West Ham manager, spoke about Jarrad Bowen and his performances at the moment, exclaiming that he is keen to score goals and that he is really enjoying it.
Last time out:
West Ham 0-1 Everton
51' Dominic Calvert Lewin (Assist: Jack Harrison)
Kick off: 13:00
Stadium: London Stadium
Attendance: 62,469
Referee: Stuart Atwell
