Youssef Chermiti’s double late on was enough to gather a draw against Ireland side Sligo Rovers.
A game specifically designed to revolve around Seamus Coleman meant he was destined to be out there captaining the Toffees. Here was the starting lineup.
Everton Starting Lineup:
12 Virgina
23 Coleman (C)
62 Onyango
5 Keane
73 Campbell
27 Gana
16 Doucoure
86 Metcalfe
7 McNeil
13 Maupay
9 Calvert-Lewin
The first goal of the game was from a set piece in the 35th minute. Sligo Rovers’ Luke Pearce was able to put his team ahead at the Showgrounds.
It was only 6 minutes later, and that lead was added too. A rebound fell to Kyle McDonagh, who slotted it past Portuguese goalkeeper Virginia, and that concluded the first half.
Not long after the second half began, Sean Dyche’s side were back into the game. Mason Holgate, who had just returned from a loan with EFL Championship side Southampton, headed it over the top of the goalkeeper, making the game 2-1.
Again, 5 minutes later, a mistake by the Everton defence allowed Kevin Muldoon to create an even bigger advantage for the home side.
Until the 84th minute, the game was played at a slow pace, but Portuguese player Youssef Chermiti was determined to change the game. Two goals in two minutes by the striker allowed the Toffees to end the game with a draw.

Well done
