Everton face a tough test at home as Newcastle United travel to face the Blues.
The Toffees will be full of confidence going into the game, as last week’s result versus Crystal Palace may be a turning point for Sean Dyche and his players. A brace from Dwight McNeil in the second half was enough as the Toffees came back from a 1 goal deficit.
Everton PL Results:
Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
Leicester 1-1 Everton
Aston Villa 3-2 Everton
Everton 2-3 Bournemouth
Spurs 4-0 Everton
Everton 0-3 Brighton
However, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side will also be thinking that they can come away with some points, as ex-player Anthony Gordon scored a penalty against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to equalise, and the game ended 1-1.
Newcastle United PL Results:
Newcastle 1-1 Man City
Fulham 3-1 Newcastle
Wolves 1-2 Newcastle
Newcastle 2-1 Spurs

Reports of a minor quad injury during training for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite have been circulated out of Finch Farm this week. The Englishman returned from an injury last week and slotted straight back into the starting eleven in the victory of Oliver Glasner’s Palace side. Now the player might be out for a bit longer, in the excess of 40 days, if it is true.

For Newcastle, Swedish striker Isak has been confirmed as unavailable for the fixture by Eddie Howe:
“He won't make the game. We'll hope he will be back with Callum (Wilson) for the game (against Brighton) after the international break.”
"Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schär should be okay. Martin Dúbravka took a nasty whack to the knee but it won't be serious."
He also stressed about the occasion for Anthony Gordon, who left Everton in January 2023, telling the media that it is still emotional for the player but expressing that he has been back to Goodison Park a few times now as an opposition player to be able to soak the pressure in.
Last Time Out:
Newcastle 1-1 Everton
