Nottingham Forest travel to Goodison to play Everton in a huge game that may decide each club’s fate and what league they will be playing in next season. Either the Premier League or the Championship.
Both teams are struggling, not getting the results needed, and that is reflecting on the position the clubs are both in in the table.
In this game week, another two important fixtures occurred, both high-scoring. This just adds even more pressure on both Everton and Nottingham Forest to perform better in the run-in to the end of the season.
Saturday 20th April - 3pm KO’s:
Luton 1-5 Brentford
Sheffield United 1-4 Burnley
With all 4 teams around both Forest and the Toffees at the rear end of the league played and 2 of them performing incredibly well, where does this leave the bottom end of the table?
Bottom Part of the Premier League Table:
14 Brentford 35
15 Crystal Palace 33
16 Everton 27
17 Nottingham Forest 26
18 Luton 25
19 Burnley 23
20 Sheffield United 16
After Everton were on the receiving end of a demolition away from home against Chelsea, losing 6-0, morale was low. However, Sean Dyche has revealed in his press conference towards the game at home that he has spoken to his players to take collective responsibility and stressed the need to improve hugely.
This, and the fact that Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Idrissa Gana Gueye have the possibility to return and feature; on the other hand, Nathan Patterson had to be subbed off against Chelsea due to injury, and it turned out to be worse than expected. Patterson has unfortunately been ruled out until the end of the season due to his need for surgery.
For the opposition, Nottingham Forest manager has said that this fixture is a “Huge game.”.
Both teams have to turn up; otherwise, they may not have the strength to stay up.
