Three Everton players, Amadou Onana, Jordan Pickford, and Vitalli Mykolenko, have been selected by their respected nations to compete in the tournament, and here is how they got on!:
Amadou Onana: 🇧🇪
Onana played the full match for Belgium against a Romanian side in top form, following a 3-0 win over Ukraine.
Playing alongside Tielemans as the midfielder, Amadou gave another great display; evidence of this is in the stats:
Jordan Pickford: 🏴
Pickford played the full duration of the fixture but was not able to keep a clean sheet this game week. England’s 1-1 draw to Denmark was disappointing, with an extremely poor display from the whole squad.
However, it would be harsh to say Pickford was to blame; a far-out strike coming off the inside of the post by midfielder Hjulmand hitting the back of the net was enough for the Danish to grab a point.
Here are some of Pickford stats from the game:
Vitalli Mykolenko: 🇺🇦
Vitalli was an unused substitute in Ukraine’s 3-1 victory over Slovakia.
It is clear that Mykolenko is still carrying an injury, so that may be a factor of his lack of appearance in the squad this European Championships.
