Everton face another tough test with Manchester City visit Goodison Park. The Blues defeat against top side Tottenham Hotspur last weekend will have knocked a little bit of confidence, even though Everton were the better team.
Manchester City have been lacklustre this season; they have been at the top of the Premier League table for the past few years, but this year they currently lie 5th. However, they have a game in hand, and if they win, they will go from a Europa League qualification spot to a Champions League one.
Sean Dyche has never beaten Pep Guardiola (the Manchester City manager). Dyche has lost 12 times and drawn once against him, but can this change on Wednesday?
Everton lay one space above the relegation zone in 17th, but at the moment, with the festive period, not all teams have the same number of games. With some teams playing on Boxing Day and the unfortunate abandonment of the Bournemouth vs. Luton game due to a devestating cardiac arrest that the Luton captain had to experience.
Manchester City are returning from the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, which City breezed past. Fatigue may be an issue for Manchester City because of this, but we will soon find out at Goodison Park.
